1. Controller

The controller responsible for the processing of personal data on this website is:

LDDE Vertriebsgesellschaft m.b.H. Simmeringer Hauptstrasse 357, 1110 Vienna, Austria

Telephone: +43 1 7671811 · E-mail: office@ldde.com · Website: https://www.ldde.com

2. Provision of the website and server logs

Our website is operated on a server of Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany, in a data centre in Germany. Technical operation is carried out on our behalf by Domaniai LTD, Keryneias 5, office 102, Marathounda, Paphos 8520, Cyprus. The data is processed exclusively within the European Union.

When the website is accessed, the server processes technically necessary data, in particular IP address, date and time, page accessed, browser, operating system, referrer URL as well as error and security information. This processing is necessary in order to provide the website and to ensure its stability and security.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the secure and uninterrupted operation of the website. The server logs are deleted after 30 days, unless longer storage is required to investigate a security incident.

A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Domaniai LTD; Hetzner Online GmbH is involved as a further processor.

3. Contacting us

If you contact us via the contact form, by e-mail or by telephone, we process the data you submit, in particular name, company, e-mail address, telephone number and the content of your message. The processing is carried out in order to handle and respond to your enquiry.

If the enquiry relates to a contract or to pre-contractual measures, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. In the case of general enquiries, the processing is carried out on the basis of our legitimate interest in handling business communications pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

The data is deleted as soon as the enquiry has been conclusively dealt with and there are no statutory retention obligations or legitimate reasons for further storage (see point 8, Storage period).

4. RMA, repair and service form

When you use our RMA, repair or service form, we process the information required to handle it. This includes, in particular, contact and company details, billing, delivery and return address, product and serial numbers, fault description, RMA reference number as well as uploaded photos, documents or videos.

The processing is carried out in order to review and carry out the RMA, repair or service procedure, for communication purposes, to prepare a cost estimate and, where applicable, to perform the contract. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. We additionally process documents subject to statutory retention requirements pursuant to Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.

Insofar as this is necessary for handling, the data may be transmitted to responsible employees, service technicians, affiliated companies as well as transport, logistics or other commissioned service providers.

Please upload only files that are required for the procedure, and avoid unnecessary personal data as well as location information in images that is not needed.

RMA and business documents are stored in accordance with the statutory retention periods. Other uploaded files (photos, videos, documents) are deleted as soon as the RMA, repair or service procedure has been finally completed and there is no longer any statutory retention obligation, unless they are required for longer for the assertion or defence of legal claims.

5. Form submission

For the transmission of form messages (contact and RMA form), we process the contact, message and technical transmission data required for sending. The legal basis depends on the respective enquiry and is Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR. To protect the forms against automated entries, we use a technically necessary honeypot mechanism as well as server-side rate limiting; no additional cookies are set for this purpose and no data is transmitted to third parties.

6. Cookies, local storage and Google Analytics

Strictly necessary: without your consent, our website only stores what it needs in order to work. This is your cookie choice in your browser’s local storage (“ldde-einwilligung” or “ldde-cookie-hinweis”, for up to 12 months) and – only when you switch language – your reading position for a few seconds in session storage (“ldde-sprachanker”). For logged-in editors, login and editing cookies are added. The legal basis is Section 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021 (TKG 2021) in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure and user-friendly operation of the website.

Google Analytics: only if you select “Accept all” in the cookie banner or enable “Analytics” do we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). Before that, Google Analytics is not loaded and no data is transferred to Google. Google Analytics sets cookies (_ga, _ga_…; stored for up to 2 years) and collects information about your use of the website, such as pages visited, time spent, approximate location, device and browser. The purpose is to understand how our website is used and to improve it.

The legal basis is your consent (Section 165(3) TKG 2021, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; the transfer is based on the European Commission’s adequacy decision of 10 July 2023 (Art. 45 GDPR). The data collected by Google is deleted after the retention period set in our Google Analytics account.

You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. The Google Analytics cookies are then deleted. Further information: https://policies.google.com/privacy

7. Recipients and data transfers

Recipients of personal data may, insofar as necessary for the stated purposes, be hosting and IT service providers (Domaniai LTD and Hetzner Online GmbH, see point 2), responsible employees as well as transport, logistics and service providers. Where a service provider processes data on our behalf, we conclude the necessary agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

Data is transferred to countries outside the European Economic Area only if the statutory requirements of Art. 44 et seq. GDPR are met. No such transfer takes place in the course of hosting.

With your consent, Google also receives usage data (see section 6).

For Google Analytics, data is transferred to the USA on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (see section 6).

8. Storage period

We store personal data only for as long as is necessary for the respective purpose. Longer storage takes place only if there are statutory retention obligations or if the data is required for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims. Thereafter, the data is deleted or anonymised.

9. Your rights

Subject to the statutory requirements, you have in particular the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You may withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future.

To exercise your rights, you can contact us at office@ldde.com or at our postal address stated above.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. In Austria, this is:

Austrian Data Protection Authority (Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde), Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, Austria. Telephone: +43 1 52 152-0 · E-mail: dsb@dsb.gv.at · Website: https://www.dsb.gv.at

10. Mandatory information and automated decision-making

The information marked as mandatory fields in our forms is required so that we can process your enquiry or your RMA, repair or service procedure. Processing is not possible without this information.

Solely automated decision-making, including profiling, pursuant to Art. 22 GDPR does not take place.
